Hi folks. Kind of a shot-in-the-dark type question: any reason or specific setting required to have IP phones (on 01xx port range) receive overhead paging content through their built in speaker ? Our standard phones appear to be working fine, but the 2 example IP Phone 2004 units aren't? Thoughts? Possible directions to find an answer ?

Internal paging is done via the phone speaker. F611
Overhead paging is done via external speakers. F62.
Combined Paging F630 all zones

Check the Capabilites settings on the ip phones .
You can set the page zone to none which prevents your phone from receiving page annoucements . useful in a board room.

Set this to the same zone as your other phones (defaut zone 1).
Otherwise internal paging should be received unless DND is on.

Also check that someone hasn't turned the speaker volume down on the IP sets.

I know on 3.7 BCM versions there was a patch for that. I believe the patch had to add some set up time for the page to go across to the ip phones. You may want to look into something like that. You may have a newer software, but patches sometimes address those things as stated above.
