IP phone works the first minute through the VPN

Has anyone had same issue before? I have used 2 Contivity 1010 to build a branch tunnel between the main site with BCM400 R4 and a branch with 2 i2002 IP sets. The phone could come up, but it works perfect just about the first couple of minutes. After that once you press intercom, there is no dial tone, when you dial someone, you can't hear ringing and the conversation, but the other end can hear you. Then whatever we 've done like rebooted the IP set many times, reconnected VPN tunnel would not make it work again. Same time the internet was fine and VPN tunnel was connected all right.

Any idea what wrong with the phone.

Hi Michael,

It almost sounds like you have IKE keepalive issues with the tunnel. Are you sure that the tunnel is actually operating properly? Can you ping the BCM from the branch office side? Can you ping the Internet Telephone from the main office side?

With that said you mention a one-way-speech path issue which suggests that the tunnel is somewhat operational.

I could ping the BCM through the Network Tools within the i2002, ping OK, 20-30ms delay of reply, 0% packets lost, so it was good connection. I did ping i2002 from the main site, but I can see the IP set up in the BCM monitor, and also can see the IP address too.

From main site they could call i2002 and it rings, but when pick up no voice, but main site can hear you. Same thing if you call from i2002 to main site.

Any other suggestion? Thanks.
