Am in the middle of troubleshooting some remote IP Phones. We have CISCO PIX devices here where the BCM50 is installed, and CISCO Pix at the remote locations, both using VPN tunneling.. The IP Phone can connect to the BCM, but we get no speech path either way. We can dial the extension at the remote location, and it rings, but still no speech path...

Ideas???

Check for NAT configurations. Using IP sets requires that the NAT device supports cone NAT and hairpinning. Most devices will default to symmetric NAT. I'm not familiar enough with PIX devices to know if is supports cone NAT, or how to change it. I do know that Nortel's Contivity boxes default to symmetric NAT, and that changing the NAT method to cone resolves the issues.
