IP Phone One way audio

I have an IP office 400 with software 5.0 on it. i have an ip phone in PA. the phone is a 4621swip phone using a kentrox router. The problem that i have is the phone has only ! way audio. I can hear him clear< but he cannot hear anything.

Is that a problem with the phone?

It worked before. it has been installed for many years

Has anything network wise been added recently? Firewall, Router, etc...?

It's a routing issue.

this is a problem with your data routing.
A quick work around is to turn of Direct Media Path but this means the VCM channel will stay in use for the duration of the call so it is not Ideal.


A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

could be that packet inspection in on for the gateway router.
