IP Phone LLDP on Display..wont pull DHCP

Any ideas on what to look for.

I have a 4610 that sits with the LLDP on the display and it wont pull DHCP. However if I take the phone to another building DHCP works just fine. The building in which it is not working is using the same VLAN number as the working building. Option 176 is configured correctly obviously since its working in one building and not the other. The switch port is tagged for the voice vlan and untagged for the data.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Just a stab,

If you put a pc on the same vlan in the same port/building and try to ping the DHCP server, do you get a response? If not, what does a traceroute show you?

Try a 'clear' from the craft menu on the phone. This will clear the phone.

The phone more than likely timed out and is set to VLAN 0 (which you may not have built), so it doesn't know what to do. Set your VLAN test to 0 on your 46xxsettings file, and then when it reboots it will pull the new settings...

Hope this helps...

Thanks,
CJH

Sounds like a VLAN configuration issue
check your ethernet switch configuration
