Hey guys just a quick question nothing important. On the 3rd page of my station forms I see a field for "IP Phone Group ID:". Anyone know what this is? I know it had to appear after a recent upgrade to 4.0.3. At first I thought it could be to automatically set IP phones to groups for the 96xxupgrade.txt file. So that you could have certain settings for some phones and different ones for another. But, that doesn't makes sense because by the time the provisioning for the phone is done it already has a settings file. I've looked around on Avaya support site, but you all know that's like trying to find a needle in a hay stack... and there's no guarantee the needle is even in there. Any ideas?

Sorry guys nevermind. I started playing with it and figured it out. Actually it does exactly what I thought it didn't do. You can tell the phone what group it is and then when you reboot it the correct settings file will be downloaded. It's actually pretty neat.
