IP Phone firmware upgrade

Not in any normal fashion - it could cause a problem with the phones and cause the phones to be down. If you are asking if it would effect digital endpoints or take the core of the system down, the answer is probably no.

IP phone FW only affect the IP phone that the FW is on, or the connection to the phone.
Upgrading the FW on the IP phone can not affect the CORE system. And will have no impact on other phones.
Unless you are confusing upgrading FW on circuit packs and gateways.
