I have an Notel 2002 ip phone and when it is configured for DHCP it hangs on bootup at 'Starting DHCP...' -- When a IP is programed it works fine. I have tried this on several networks and it does not work on any. The DHCP service on all the networks is working fine. When my laptop is plugged into the aux port on the IP phone, it DOES get an IP address, so I know there is connectivity and DHCP is working properly.

Are you configured for full DHCP or partial DHCP? If the phone is set for full DHCP, you need to have option 128 specified in your DHCP server with the BCM IP and port specified. If you're using partial DHCP, you need to configure the IP of the BCM and the port - the IP, mask and gateway will come from DHCP.

Ahh...That did it, I wish that was somewhere in the documentation!!1

THANKS!!!
