Case:
A call B.
B pick up the IP phone.
Sometimes it takes 3- 10 sec. before A can hear B. There are no prioritet inn the LAN. Can QOS and bad bandwith case this problem?

Hi Trident 100

Service Pack version please

RFPUI:& ALL
Does IP phone accept * as a leading digit??,
I heard that Dialog 3413 doesn't accept more than 21 digits so for CIL, its not acceptable for the commercial use.
Also i am not able to use any feature code like call forward etc.
Phone works fine with immediate tone etc , i can dialout without authcode...Hardware rev is R2B,
I don't have FW, if it needs to be upgraded etc.
Anyone who knows Pls share some knowledge on this .......

Trident100,

Is this problem happening on your LAN or your WAN? I had a similar problem on the WAN where it was extended to location over a 128Kbit Satellite link. The Ip phone was trying to use a G711 codec (64Kbit) instead of a G728 (8Kbit). Change the order the codec are selected, this may resolve your problem.

Singhbrindisi,

Ip phone should accept a leading *. There is a limit on the total number of digits that can be dialled, and this does impact on Authority code dialling. This is a problem as you are more likely to use Authority code dialling when placing international calls. If you use just a 2 digit access code for international access, you can place a call to any IDD location if you limit the length of your Authority code to 4 digits. This is not ideal but is a work around. Remember your IP phone has to Log onto the MD, so this is another level of protection. Features such as follow me, bypass diversion etc do all work. Check the full list of supported features in ALEX. If they don't work I suspect you have them disabled in your CSP (Common Service Profile) setting of your generic extension.

Thanks megglesfield !!!

With CSP it works fine now & even accepts more than 21 digits, so for Long authcode also its resolved...
