Hi,

We have a IP500v2 R8.1 with a mix of 1603 and 1603-I phones. All phones are on SW 1.350B.
Only on the 1603-I phones the display stays blank.

Anyone ever had the same issue?

I haven't seen it before.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I've this experience ... 1603 with a blank display but the phone isn't dead (you can do some menu operation, ringing ...). The 1608 (or 1616) on the same extension displays "NOT LOGGED IN" (even if the user wasn't "agent" [ponder]).
After "login" operation, the 1603 shows the correct information (display isn't blank), now.
Could this be your situation?

That's interesting, that was an issue back in R5/6 days with 5610s used as VPN phones, the display would be blank and dialling the login code would fix it....wouldn't be the first bug Avaya has recycled with a modern twist :)

I had 52x 1603-I on a R7.0 doing the same thing two years ago.
IIRC, I deleted/recreated the users and extn with reboots, and they came back normal.

MENU button showed info, so I thought it was a misalignment of the text in main screen.

Kind regards

Gunnar
