*We have an issue with trying to transfer
callers to extensions (some forwarded off-site ,
most are not)

* If you come in over the T1 (PRI actually) you can depress "Transfer" dial the extension # or use the
DSS button on the 4450 console (Programed as USER "Jim")and hang up.
(this works fine for all calls over T1)

* If you come in over the Copper/Pots (grd start)
trunks and depress "Transfer" dial the extension
or depress the DSS Button on 4450 console and hang up
the caller is stiil left on hold tried depressing "transfer" a second time with same results.

***(yet if I do a "conference" dial Ext # or depress DSS
button on 4450 and "conference" again and hangup its works
in releasing the calls on the copper/pots trunks

is there any issue with disconnect timers or is there something else to look out for ???

FYI:

setup as follows: IP 406 1.3(37)
ATM 16 3.3(37)
DCP 16 3.3(37)
DCP 30 3.3(37)

*Main Cosole is a 6424D+ with 4450 DSS
*all other users except 4 phones are
6406D+ (other are 6424D+ phones)

*not running eblf , phone manager on any PC

In the analoge tab of the trunk line tick the allow forwarding box.

Note Trunk-to-Trunk Transfers are not recommended on analog trunks due to the lack of a reliable disconnect signal.

...thanks for the post
they have ground start trunks more reliable for
disconnects then loop start .....will give it ashot when I get back on-site
