Hi,

Im working on a solution for faxing solutions (unified for IP Office)

Can this be acomplished? or do I need a 3rd party fax server solution.

You'll need a 3rd party fax server solution, of course, but you can integrate it into the voicemail & email unified messaging offering on the IPO. I have personally done this with GFI faxmaker for SMTP, but I recall seeing something from Avaya stating they officialy supported GFI & Captaris Ritefax plus a couple others to do this.

Basically you route incoming fax calls to a hunt group of analog ports connected to the faxboard. You program the system to deliver inband signalling digits (touch tones) as soon as the faxboard answers, which tells the faxserver software who the fax is for. Works great.

V3.0 is scheduled to have fax support yoing various external fax servers, I will advise further when the details are less fluid

bigjohn that would be a pretty expensive way to go on IP Office. You'd need the VPIM licence on top of everything else...
