Ok. So I have a customer that is running an IP Office 3.1 with an IP406. They have voicemail Pro and they are using a Windows XP machine for a server. They want to upgrade the server to Windows 7. What would be required on the IP office side to run windows 7 with no issues? Would they need to upgrade to 9.0?

Thanks!

You'll have to go to 3.2, at least, for windows 7, as it was the only one that worked on 64bit, if I remember correctly (which your windows 7 likely is). It won't go to 9, not on a 406.

VM Pro 4.2(34) was first supported on Windows 7 Pro & Ultimate in BOTH 32 and 64 bit.
TB 111 dose confirm this on page 4.

Is You 406 a v2? If No, you cannot upgrade past R3.2!
Early 406v2 did not have as much memory either, and couldn't be upgraded past R3.2 either.

Not sure, run monitor, if You have less than 16M free Memory, You will not be able to upgrade.
If Your 406v2 has 20M-60M free memory, then you can upgrade up to R6.
R4.2 & R5 upgrades would be free, R6 is not!

This has been talked about on this forum before. You can (BUT it is not supported) run vmpro R6 on the Windows 7 machine and it will work with R3.2 IPO 406.
