Hi All,

We have a bunch of IP Offices in a star like topology, with a Definity Prologix acting as their HUB.

For some reason the IP Offices dont send their voice payload as UDP/RTP packets anymore.

They now send plain UDP packets (each one 66 bytes long) when talking to Prologix, but still send UDP/RTP packets when talking to each other.

The Prologix, however, send its voice payload as UDP/RTP packets, as it always did.

Call setup and voice traffic is all okay.

What is bothering us is that Cisco frame-relay RTP header-compression dont work anymore, for traffic originated from the IP Offices to Prologix.

The traffic originated from Prologix to the IP Offices get compressed as before.

Does anyone have see this before?

IP Office: 2.1(15)
Prologix: R012i.01.1.414.1

2.1.15 to Prologix caused many problems. We have upgraded those type of sites to 2.1.24/27/35.

DO NOT USE V2.1.15!
DO NOT USE V2.1.15!
Do NOT USE V2.1.15!

V2.1.15 has more bugs than the entomology house at London zoo, V2.1.24 if also seriously buggy Use Either V2.1.27 or V2.1.35 and nothing else.

Thanks for the tip IPGuru.

Following Avaya's upgrade guide I upgraded one of our units to version 2.1(35) and tested, but the problem was still there.

Then I upgraded to version 3.0(44) and the same thing is still happening (RTP from prologix to IPO, plain UDP from IPO to prologix)

Does anybody have any other suggestion?
