I have an IP Office 403 with PRI interface. I need to connect this to an Avaya Definity G3Si R8 PBX. Both units sit in the same room side by side. I have a spare T1 circuit pack inside the Definity to use for this project. The only thing I need to do is get dial tone on the IP Office from the Definity. The Definity has 3 PRI's from telco. Can this be accomplished with the items noted? Can the systems be hooked up back to back? I've been told conflicting answers but need to establish if this can be done. I'm looking for someone with real world experience that has done this. Please advise.
Thanks

Hi I have connected Definity to IPO, many times via EI, using ETSI (PRI) or QSIG. Most of the time they interface the IPO to definity because of the conferencing on the IPO.

They tend to use ETSI because the QSIG lisense is to dear. I am not to sure how to configure this on T1 interface but i would not think it would be to hard.
Hope this helps a little !

You're right the QSIG license is to dear. I'll take your tip and look at using ETSI. Its good to know that I have options. Many thanks for the advice!
