Can you set up SIP Trunks through IP authentication rather than registration with the IPO? If so, is it then possible to set up the system so that if 00(international) is dialled one number shows, if they dial 0(UK) another number is shown and if they dial put with a 9 prefix calls show as withheld?
The reason I ask is we currently have 3 separate trunks displaying 3 separate numbers using registration but the SIP provider is forcing the number displayed. This was working fine but since we added inbound calls through SIP lots of problems have been occurring where calls are randomly cutting out and when they hang up the phone it does not cut the call off.
The calls used to come in through an ISDN30 but they moved site so we put inbound calls through SIP, since then we have experienced these issues. I thought at first their IT team must have changed the router and that this could be a firewall issue but they have made no changes so the only thing I can think of is that the inbound calls going through SIP is causing some NAT issues on the router or that we have 3 trunks registered and inbound. The SIP provider said using IP authentication could help this.
Any ideas or advice will be very much appreciated,
