Hi all

I have a number of customer with Ip Office and I am trying to find out how to dial in there system so that I can support them remotely.

Cheers David

Remote Access is configured on IPO systems in default.

you will require and isdn terninal adapter or router

if using DUN you will need a UserName of RemoteManager
Password of "thepword" - if you didnt bother to change it.

if the IPO is a dhcp server you can now connect on any available number
otherwise you will need to specify an IP address of 192.168.99.X for your connection

this works because the IPO has:
A default usere of RemoteManager with DialIn enabled
An incomming call rout of Any data set to DialIn (the Ras Service)
and an IP route of 192.168.99.0 set to RemoteManager

these settings can be changed if req.

Pesonaly I use a spare IPO & configure these details an Normal services, but it does need each site to be on a different IP address or you need to keep changing routes

if you are still unsure I can put a dumme example of how to do this on my FTP Server

I use Tight VNC. Its free and I connect an analog port to the modem card of my VM Pro machine. It runs as a service and is password protected. The PC has to be set to accept incomming connections. You use TightVNC viewer to connect.
Hope this helps
