I just install this IP Office with two digits, slot 1&2 combo cards, slot 3 digital station 8.After the installation I found out I needed the analog position in the 1st slot(16,17)as digital station.I power down the switch and move the combo card in slot 1 to the 3rd slot, and move the digital station 8 to slot 1.Once I brought the system back up the configuration read:slot 1 digital station 8,slot 2 and 3 combo cards. So I got what I wanted digital phones as 16,and 17;but now the system does not show c.o. line 1-4,it shows c.o. lines 5-12,and also the combo card in slot 3 works, but the card does not light up as the other cards. Can some help me?

Did the DS8 have a 4 line CO daughter card? If not, it might see lines 5-8 as your first available lines. Not sure, just a guess. I would agree with telecomboy and default it and start from scratch.

Why is the Physical position of the Analog ports important?

cant you simply renumber the ports or do you not know enough about the system you are selling to perform basic tasks?

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

In IP Office Basic Edition, the first two phone ports are fixed as Operator/System Administrator phones - non configurable - however the special admin functions are not accessible if you put analog phone ports in those positions.

The first answer was correct, the only solution (even though painful) is to power down, put the hardware in the slots it needs to be in, then restart and default the config.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
