Not sure if anyone can help on this...

I have an IP Office system that I'm trying to connect to with manager, but although I can see the system listed it is greyed out and wont let me select it - does anyone know why this would be?

Thanks

The system is on a higher firmware release than your manager software. I bet you can see something if you select file>upgrade as an example.

I'll check that out then, thanks for the quick response.

You need to be at either the same release manager or higher or it will always be un-select-able. The manager works backwards to around R4

NTS Direct

R9 Manager will open back to 3.0.580, but I wouldn't go making changes although it "should" work :)

Thanks

From what I'm being told the IPO is running version 8.1 and the Manager 10.0(44)

Manager 10.0 is for IP Office Release 8.0. You need Manager 10.1.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Then you are one minor release too low, Manager 10.0.44 is for R8.0
Upgrade to R8.1.73

Kind regards

Gunnar

That's great, thankyou for confirming :)

I use the latest Manager on all releases from 2.1 and higher. Never had a problem. The only thing to keep in mind with older software is that these releases must reboot on almost any change while the newer manager always suggest to merge the changes which normally make the system go mad and starting to act strange, a reboot resolves that so on versions below 4 : always reboot after changes and you'll be fine.
