We are proposing an IP Office for a small motel. Is there a way to light a message waiting lamp on an analog room phone from a digital set used as a console

Another possibility is using softconsole and use the send message option. It actually really sends a message but the light also goes on. I do not know what happens with an analogue phone though.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

on thing to be aware of is there are a multitude of different signalling methods for MWI on analog phones.Although IP Office trys to work with most of them operation with any particular model of handset is not guaranteed.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Thanks for the suggestions. It may be as simple as setting a voice mail for the analog set and letting that do the lamp; the customer is used to a console where they can just light a lamp using a key and entering a room number.

that should be possible using a short code with the the "Display Msg" Feature

Interquartz in the UK do analogue phones that are meant to work with the IP Office MWI and possibly the same for their hotel phones.

Not sure about other markets.
