I have a customer who recently converted to att Uverse Voip lines. They have the ipo 500v2 8.1 in basic mode receiving ghost calls at random. 2 analogue lines going to a combo. the phone sets ring once and it’s random symbols instead any numbers or names. The thread attached said it was the mwi sending pulses that the ipo and it interprets as a ring. Contacted att and got them to remove the mwi and the problem persists. No ring between the rg and ipo and on system monitor it says external with no caller id info and lasts for 5 seconds every time... any ideas or help would be appreciated!

You might look at the line voltage. Some of the FOIS lines will have line voltage high enough that the IPO will read as ring signal if there are voltage spikes. It will see the spike and wait about 5 seconds for the second ring and clear the call.
