Hi Everyone,

I have an IP Office running 11 and trying to setup an Avaya Universal Door Phone System with the controller connected to a door strike.

I never could get it to work as an extension, only connected to the trunk port.

I have the analog extension port set when you go off hook it dials the hunt group. I have verified this with a test set.

According to the instructions (attached), this is possible, but the example uses a LUADS door speaker. I have the 2 pair LUUDS. The trick seems to be to set it up as an emergency phone, but was wondering if there are any other tricks. I tried the *5 emergency configuration, but couldn't get it to work.

The trunk method seems to work ok, but I think it delays the connection. The answering party also has a bad echo where you can hear yourself when talking. What is the best adjustment for that, or trunk configuration?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I am pretty certain that LUUDS only works with a trunk port. You need the LUADS if you want to use an analog extension port.
