i want to change my dial plan in ip office throw manger i want to change the dial plan to 2 digits how can i do that throw Manger ?!

It may not allow you to go to 2 digits

Extension renumber

3 digit is the minimum now i believe

I always thought it was 3 as by default it uses 2xx but I've looked it up in Manager and it does say 2.

BTW does not renumber hunt groups etc so you will need to change manually if needed.

In IP Office Manager, start with Tools | Extension Renumber and enter the starting extension number you want.

It will only renumber users, (and their names if they have default names link "Extn201"). You'll have to manually renumber the group extension numbers.

Then manually browse the config for anything like shortcodes that have been added expecting 3-digit numbers and adjust accordingly (depends on the age of the system and how many customisations away from a standard config have been made).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

The renumber is only restricted if your settings are restricting it (dumbest option in Manager)
the option is in System - Telephony - SM - Local Number length
you can delete it and it allows anything or set it to your new value to make it work.

If you renumber via Manager tools it will fill any gaps you have in your numbering plan (sucks)

So if you have 100, 101, 103, 104 and 105 and renumber them to 200 number you will get 200, 201, 202, 203 and 204 then missing 205 instead and 203 and 204 are also not matching the old numbers.

Addendum: it will skip users that have no extension programmed :)

Useless tool for (I guess) 90% of renumbering jobs

Or, from the old Legend/Magix world

Renumber ALL extensions, starting at with the first one, to 7100, resulting in 7100~7107
Renumber 7100~7101 to 200 resulting in 200-201 and 7102~7107
Renumber 7102~7104 to 203 resulting in 200-201, 203~205, and 7105~7107

Renumber single extensions by selecting the same extension number for the first and last extension

Thanks TTT
that was a lot of work to show here( have some pink for the extra effort) but if you have 100 extensions and there are 30 random numbers between missing it is almost faster to do it manually.
I have to say I don't miss the Legend and Magix at all.
Had to program a ISDN BRI once and it almost made me throw up :)
