Struggling with “simple thing” – just to change FROM domain part. When IPOCC sends VM as attach puts FROM address in format <calling_number>@VOICE
But email provider require customer domain to be set. So looking to set it as: <calling_number>@<customer_domain>
As it is described in: I manage to manually set FROM, but this way is lost information of calling number.
Does anybody know how just change domain part while keeping calling number information.
Or propose another solution (to somehow put calling number information in VM attachment file name).
Tnx.

p.s I checked docs: IVR editor, TaskFlowEditor,…to try manage understand how it could be manage – fills like in documentation missing some page with crucial information to understand it :-/
One unclear case, in IVR Script "vm_rec_send.ivr" (from samples) it is stated in comment “The recorded text will be stored as file with name voiceMessage_datetime_number.wav”. So, file name is auto generated? Could make/generated with some other information – e.g. calling number and how it could be set?

You can just define _from the the Define Variable element and set it to what you want.

Same way you can define what the filename should be.

Hi jann78,
I manage to define _From as <whatever_name>@<customer_domain>
But I need <calling_number>@<customer_domain> to preserve calling number information (that leave VM).
Is it possible and how?
"Same way you can define what the filename should be." - it will be nice to have more info on this.
Regards.

The Tag CCK_Calling_Address contains the calling number

Hi janni78,
thank you for fast hint.
In Local Variables I put at 'Edit Local Variable':
Name _From
Value: CCK_Calling_Address@domain.com
But instead Tag value in FROM was put just string that it looks like:
MAIL FROM:<CCK_Calling_Address@domain.com>
also if I set as:
Value: 'CCK_Calling_Address@domain.com'
it looks like:
MAIL FROM:<'CCK_Calling_Address'@domain.com>

What is correct syntax to use Tag value in Local Variable _From?

<:CCK_Calling_Address:>+"@domain.com" should work

"Trying is the first step to failure..." - Homer

janni78,
tnx, I put exactly as you stated
Value: <:CCK_Calling_Address:>+"@domain.com"

and IPOCC unfortunately do the same (put exactly everything as string) but not using Tag part.
Output from log:
posting message: MAIL FROM:<<:CCK_Calling_Address:>+"@domain.com">

You need to check the IVR log to see what happens when it creates the variable

"Trying is the first step to failure..." - Homer

Wait a minute, you can't put that in value.

As I stated above you need to first use a Define Variable element to set _From before using it.

Hi janni78,
yes, tnx a lot.
Set and works [bigsmile]
