Hi,

Please could someone let me know if it is possible to create a button which overrides a time profile.

For example the customer has a time profile to go to the office between 9 and 5pm daily and then voicemail out of hours, but if someone is staying late they want to press a button so that calls come in or if the office shuts early they want to press a button so that all call go to the night voicemail and override the time profile.

Also on the auto attendant on essential edition 9.1 I can see there are keys 0-9 and * and # but is it possible so that if no option is selected, calls go to a certain hunt group.

Use a time profile to set a group to night service
Then create a button to toggle the service status.

Set the fallback extension in incoming call Route towards that group.
Then after the time-out the call will be presented to that group.
 
Have a look at the "Time Profile" but action in 9.1.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Tlpeter please could you confirm if the button used to toggle will always override the night service?
 
Sizbut are you referring to where it says 'Latch inactive/active'? If so it says 'The setting is retained over a reboot'. Does this mean they would need to reboot the system after to retain the standard time profile settings?
 
No. It means the original settings won't return until the next time profile event,even with a reboot.

You'd have to either:
a) pour holy water on it to get the demons out.
Or
b) you could just use a short code to set 'latch time profile active' until next time profile event.
