Main reception set can transfer calls fine 1416 set with transfer button, the portable is in the same hunt group but it can not transfer calls using short code > answer call> press flash button>*70*xxxx(ext.number)#> hang up. The call just rings forever.

I have also removed the portable from the hunt group and twinned the portable with the main reception set. Still no luck

any ideas??

Do as TTT says. Answer the call. Press flash to get your dialtone, dial the extension you want to transfer to, hang up. Make sure the analog extension has more than 1 call appearance or else it can't transfer.

Bullshit, a analog station is a single line station and it does not need appearance keys at all.

Just press the flash key dial the transfer destination and disconnect. Read the Manual
What is the function of shortcode *70 you use?

A simple mind delivers great solutions

Works Great! - still don't know why it stopped working with short codes. Reception phone is set to follow me to: and now her calls are picked up on the portable and transferred easily.

Thanks!
