Hi all,
First, if I should split this into two separate topics, please let me know, and I will do that.
One of the sites we have currently has an Avaya system on IP Office 6.0 with embedded voicemail. I have been asked to setup voicemail to email. I have done this with no problem in newer IP Office versions, but, this 6.0 is giving me a bit of an issue. I believe I need to setup the SMTP settings in the System>SMTP tab, but, it does not allow for a domain name, just an IP address, and we use Google, but, I am having a tough time getting an IP address of a Google Mail Server to complete this process.
The other issue is in regard to call forwarding. I have a user who is requesting that any incoming calls to their extension first ring their local extension, and then if that phone is not picked up, that the call then go to their cell phone number. I did get this to work using Forward Unconditional, but, that is not exactly what is being asked by the user.
I ticked the Forward on Busy and Forward on No Answer boxes and then punched in the cell phone number for the call to go to, but, doing that and dialing their extension, the call just goes to voicemail.
Please let me know if you need any other info, and I appreciate your time and help with these things.
Thank you.
