Hello all,
I know there maybe a lot of things causing this, and I have tried to rule out as many possible issues I could think of.
I am running 2 IPO 500 V2 both running version 8.1(85) over a VPN connection. The VPN connection are made using 2 Cisco routers (RV082) with SPI turned off. The VPN connection has no problems staying up and running.
Now here is the problem. Almost every morning we come into the office the IPO are not handling calls between each other (no extension dialing, etc.) So every morning I reboot both IPOs and the system is perfect all day (perfect sound quality too).
I thought maybe the VPN connection was dropping because there was no traffic at night, so I have created a batch file that pings the IPO (and output the pings to a text file) on the other site of the VPN connection. I was hoping that this would keep the VPN alive and the IPOs would stay connected. I looked at the text file and I had a few dropped packets (2 or 3) over the night.
Can anyone suggest other test to try, or do you think that a few dropped packets are causing this?
Thanks again everyone!!
Mike
