Hello,

Is there a new verison of IP Office 406 v2?

I believe I read an article on this new one but I lost it.

Thanks,

There is a 406v2. It looks a bit like a 403 - but it has an extra slot on the front for the IVM (integrated voicemail).

The unit works fine (as well as can be expected) under v2.1(27) - but the IVM will only be supported under v3.

At the moment, there is only a DS variant - as v3 has no DT support. The new 54xx phones are, also, only supproted under v3.

Reading between Avaya's lines - it looks like the end of the line for the 403. And the end of the support of the DT handsets (well - they are awful).

Hope that helps a bit

cheers

There will be no 406V2DT (unless Avaya get some serious complaints about the dropping of DT support)

DT "Awful" - there has been quite a discusion that indicates otherwise

Personaly I prefer them, but that is beacuse I have worked with the index form when it was still known as R10.

Exonomicaly teh DS handsets are cheaper, & developing features for two completly different standards is bound to cause problems so I can understand Avayas decision (even though I dont fully agree with it)

The 406V2 DT was never launched. A few made it out into the field as part of trials but it never became a purchasable product when 406V2 was made available as part of 2.1(27).
