IP Office 406 V2 5410/20 Firmware issue

Came across something strange in last to installes of 406V2 versions 4.0.7 and 10.. Using 5410/20 phones.

Plug phone in a digital port watched it upgrade the firmware.. Unplugged that phone and replaced it with new one out of the box and it does not upgrade it just comes up with the user that is programed for that extension.. Firmware does not upgrade but phone does funtion.. Have to reboot system to get the phone to upgrade or plug into another port that has not been used yet..

Anyone else see this.. Is this by design?
 
Been told this is feature intent, Unfortunatly I have to go through to a reseller to escalate some thing through avaya even though Im ACS so this is 3rd party information and do not know if entirely accurate.

After a reboot it is gone
I think it has to do with the upgrading
If you unplug a phone while upgrading your phone is broke
I never tried but i think if you plug it back in it will continiue with upgrading

I never tried it but if i can i will

So don't try this at home :)
