4450 DSS unit

DSS unit stopped working.
Replaced old with new. DSS unit is not powering up.
If I remember correctly, you need a power supply unit for the phone in order to get power to the DSS, correct?

Client does not have one of these power supplies onsite. Said they never had one. Client did have some sort of call box system that was working through this particular phone. They removed this call box system and the DSS stopped working. Could this system have been providing the power to the phone?

Or am I totally off base here?

You are certainly going to be struggling
these handsets have not been supported for many years & I have never seen one so cant help much - sorry

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

It does require a power brick to work and they probably removed it by accident when removing the call box system.

Maybe the call box was powering the dss, who knows, I doubt it. Doesn't matter, they need one now. Its the only way it will work.

Thanks Telecomboy.
I was questioning whether they had one to start with or not when I asked them about it.
