We are currently running our Avaya IP Office system on a Windows 2003 R2 platform. This includes IP Office 3.2(17), IP Office Manager 5.2(17), and Voicemail Pro 3.2. I am trying to find out if we upgrade to Windows Server 2008 64-bit if this same setup will run OK? Would plan on just a clean build of a virtual Windows 2008 server, re-install all Avaya software, and then import backed up configs.

My research is inconclusive to this point, so was just hoping someone may have additional input. I suppose we could use a 32-bit version if we had to and it made a difference. Thanks

It is not supported and i really think it won't work very well.
Just get this current server converted to a virtual machine.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Yea, my assumption was that it definitely wouldn't be supported, but was just wondering if anyone has had any measure of success if ever doing it. Will consider just converting the physical box, but ideally would have liked a clean Windows install to build on. I know it sounds a little antiquated to try, but.....
