Has anyone gotten GMAIL to work with IP office since they did away with Less secure apps and went to OAuth2?

I am trying to set up Gmail VM to email but can not get it to send and Logging traces show Authentications error but I know the account works but no sure if I need to configure something in OAuth2.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi @NYSTECH - Not gmail, but I have Outlook.com working perfectly if that helps...

Thanks, Tim

I got it working today, December 29 2021, for a customer with VM Pro 9.1 by enabling Less Secure Apps on their Google account. I don't know what OAuth2 is.
smtp.gmail.com
Port 587
From xxx@gmail.com
Auth Enabled
xxx@gmail.com
password for xxx@gmail.com

Google was supposed to be going away from Less secure app feature and migrating to OAuth2.
But I am not sure if they have or not. I have 2 customers that their VM to email just stopped working. Both use GMail for VM to email. Was trying to see if something changed.

Thanks for responses.

I have a lot of customers on gmail and have not had anyone say their vmail to email stopped working recently. As far as I know less secure apps is still a thing and gmail still works with the IPO.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
