Multiple remote sites connect to head office via ELU32 IP trunks so they can use centralized voicemail. New remote site added however test calls cannot be initiated in either direction although if a call is made to an extn at remote site & it diverts in PELPI to destination assigned to IP route, the call connects no problem. New site set up exactly same as other remote sites which all worked straight away. ROCAI,RODAI,RINII,RIANI,RONDI,SYIDI,RODDI,ROEQI all configured the same as sites that work. Also checked CSP of GE's & traffic is fully open. Firmware same on ELU32's. Only difference is the SP levels.

Racked my brains for hours but can't figure this out. Since adding SYIDI at remote site (Thanks WhoseRDaddy - found that in a search), I get ringing that sounds like route busy when using ECC from home so unable to see message on DTS, previously the call failed as soon as the 4th & final digit of DEST was dialled.

Thanks
Kroney

Update:

Since adding the SYIDI at remote site we can now call that site over the IP route. Message waiting is now sent to the remote site. Outstanding issue is that users at remote site can't call the voicemail via the access code (which is the route access code & is a hunt group number at site with the voicemail), or initiate a call by dialing a 2nd route access code & extn. If the remote site is called over PSTN the call diverts to the voicemail system via the PELPI which specifies only the route access code however, if the same call is placed over the IP route it doesn't divert.

Very Odd!
Thanks, Kronehead

Also forgot to mention that if I ask remote site user to call the VM access code, they see no error message on phone (I think they said it displayed "calling"), & I see trunk in use when I look at SUSIP for ROU at both ends I can see a call in progress. Looks like call is reaching the MD but it doesn't know what to do with it. Number sent will be that defined in RONDI for private network i.e. 6-xxxx + extn.
