IP networking an MCD 6.0 and ICP relase 9.0

Is it possible for me to cluster a MCD 6.0 and ICP 9.0 together for 4 digit dialing with IP trunks, or do I need to upgrade the older system? Thanks

I would recommend simply using ARS networking.

As per kwbMitel, if you dont need to cluster and just want to call between the two then you do not need to upgrade just IP trunking with simple ARS will suffice.

MCD 6 uses the GDM database model. Release 9 doesn't so I do not believe you could create a cluster out of the two different loads. As kwbMitel recommends you can use ARS to connect the systems for your 4 digit dialling and you should be able to setup IP trunks between the two.

So, I dont need to fill out the "cluster element assignment"? Just build my IP trunks and configure ARS?
