ip nat translation

Hi,

can someone tell me what the below states. i get this when i do a show ip nat translation.

tcp 24.56.28.95:1654 192.168.1.100:1654 24.99.54.294:4519 24.99.54.294.:4519

I changed the ips addresses for the sake of privacy but need to understand what this means. Does this mean that the first ip is the nat ip with the second the private ip and it is connected to the 24.99.54.294 ip?

I am running 2600 router in my lab and need to know what i can do to troubleshoot. I am tyring to get port 1654 to be forwarded from my nat ip of 24.56 to my internal ip 192.168.1.100 but that is not happening. What commands can I run and what tests can i do, debug to enable etc to see what is going on?

The below is how to read the NAT.

Pro Inside global Inside local Outside local Outside global

Your private 192.168.1.100 is using 24.56.28.95 as its public address.It's making a connection on port "1654" to the outside address of "24.99.54.294" ,this address is replying with port "4519"

So in theory it's doing what you want.So something in your explanation is missing,if your'e troubleshooting this situation.Please clarify.

hi minue what is happening is that the port 1654 is not routing to the internal server 192.168.1.100 since the server never sees the attempt or the connection. can anything be done to see what is going on?

I will try guess the scenary,correct me if I am wrong.From the outside want to be able to access an application running on port 1654 to the server.If this is want you want you will have to build a static NAT statement.

ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.1.100 1654 24.56.28.95 1654

If the above isn't the case then you should post a design and give a more throurogh explanation.
