What may cause the command &quot;ip nat inside source static <inside_private IP> <inside_puplic IP>&quot; not to work when I can ping inside_public IP from the Internet but the web service running on the inside_private machine can not be found from outside network when I type

http://<inside_public_IP>.

The default route in your web server, is that pointing at the local router IP address?

My webserver is a Windows 2000 advanced server machine. It's default gateway is not directly set to any interface of my local router.
