Wondering if the ip nat feature/command set on a cisco catalyst 2900XL switch [IOS Version 12.0(5)WC2] does what a cable/dsl router does in allowing an IP to be shared.
If not, then how is it different?
Searched cisco's website but couldnt find any specific info on this, though knowing cisco's website abit, im sure its on there somewhere in some description.
hoped i could get info before i actually fool around with the switch =]

thanks for the help..

The 2900 XL does not support NAT. The NAT commands may be in there, but that is only because they adapted the router's IOS to the switch, and not all "router-only" commands were removed. You will find quite a bit of "router-only" commands in the XL switches, but they dont do anything, they simply...exist.
