Has anyone used this yet? If so how do I get music from my PBX source in a different location? We have music on hold in my main office and we do have network connectivity to this location...
In the Unified Manager, click on IP Music. You'll have to click on Tools (I think), then select BCMAmp Ctl. That will bring up the BCM Amp application which will let you upload files to the system.
Biggest issue is that the files have to be small (5MB or less I think). You'll have to change the files to make the size small enough to upload. I'll usually set the files to 8 bit mono - figure the people listening to it are on a phone line, so it sounds fine.
When the playlist is built, set your music source to BCMAmp, and you're off and running.
Thanks, I did find that in the manual finally. But I'm curious as to how the loop is set. The track will autotmatically skip to the next and then loop?
I've got a program called Goldwave that does a pretty good job of it. There are slews of programs out there that do that type of thing - do a Google search for WAV or MP3 converter, take your pick.
I wound up just using the goldwave myself, any suggestions in music choices? I copyied a few wav files at 8 bit mono and they are 4-5 minutes jazz songs but the file sixes are 11M and 13M. How short does the music have to be 1 1/2 minutes?
