Go to the Multiline Key Assignment form and make another line appearance of the same extension as the prime line. In the "Line type" column make it "MULTICALL", in the Button Directory # column make it the same as the primary number of the phone.
Set the ring type to either Ring or Ring Continuous.
"Ring" by itself gives the user a single courtesy ring while they are on another call. "Ring continuous" makes the phone continue ringing.
NOTE WELL - the ringer function DOES NOT WORK if the user is on another call in HANDSFREE mode (ie, speakerphone).
In Station Class Of Service set "Display CallerID on Multicall/Keylines" to YES - that will at least tell you who (or the number of who) is calling.
Other than that, I will repeat to you what one of our senior execs once remarked when a young lady unwittingly asked the same question. He said, "The Secretary's first responsibility is to answer the phone and by God they'll either answer the phone or I will replace them with people who will!"
Many thanks. Could i make friend with u,give your contact detail about you, (yahoo ID). we can exchange infomation to improve our knowleage.
