Hi
I'm trying to locally network an IPLDK 100 with a laptop.
I'm using local IP addresses 192.168.1.1 for the LDK100 an 192.168.1.1 for the laptop.

In TRANS/PGM 320 Flexi key 1 this option is supposed to turn on the IP network port but it does say in the manual
"This ADMIN program value is used to enable the networking feature.
To set this ADMIN value to ON, the networking software lock-key must be installed at IP LDK system.
If station user enter the software lock-key check dialing command ‘[TRANS/PGM] + 78’, then the
installed software lock-key is displayed on station LCD."

Does anyone know how to find this key code?
Appreciate any help

Many Thanks

As you say:
"I'm using local IP addresses 192.168.1.1 for the LDK100 an 192.168.1.1 for the laptop." -> You cannot use the same IP address for two devices on the same LAN.

Change the laptop to: 192.168.1.2.
Have the same subnet mask for both units: 255.255.255.0.

You need to buy a license from your local LG-Nortel dealer.
Press [Trans/Pgm]+78 to see the licenses installed in your system - from any keyset.

You need a VOIB or VOIBE to be able to interconnect two ipLDK-100 systems. One VOIB/E for each ipLDK system.
Then the license "VOIP networking" is needed.
Also a little programming shold be carried out.
Next post below will show the programming.

Hi
doktor thanks for correcting my typo error. I am using 192.168.1.2 however can you tell me more about the license number that I see when using TRANS/PGM 78.
Is there a site which deciphers what the license number mean?

Regards

You can have licenses for different PC applications and VOIP.

Here is the list: (License number and description).

0 QSIG over PRIB
1 PC Attendant console
2 CTI Application supporting TAPI
5 VOIP over VOIB
6 PC Phone (ezPhone)

Demo license
It enables user to use PC Attendant, TAPI, PC Phone, QSIG and Networking during 60 days without any Lock Keys for demo. System reset needs.

You can test IP Soft Phone w/o license.
(remark : Support two softphones without lock key)
