IP KIM on I2004

Hey Folks

Trying to install an IP_KIM T24 on a I2004. Got the thing connected to phone, when I power up the I2004 the KIM indicators flash. Ounce the I2004 is booted I get no function of the IP_KIM. I can not program any of the buttons I just get press a button even if I press the button.

I'll be honest I have never installed a IP KIM. so am I missing something.

The System is a BCM400 with 3.7

You need 4.0 to support the IP_KIM.

I know you need 4.0 and later for the Nortel Communication Server 1000.

But I can not find anywhere that it will not work with a BCM 3.7. Can you help point me to something because I have a cust that wants one and he is also running 3.7.

In the 4.0 doc in the overview it tells what has been added to the BCM 4.0. The 2033 IP conf phone and the IP KEM have been added.

DAMN NORTEL Why cann't you folks make equipment work around the board. I hope you all are listening. Any body have a sugjestion on what I can provide them at this point. My customer does not want the T-series phones they want IP only.

The two receptionists really need to see the employee's when they are on the phone.

Upgrade them to 4.0 and it'll work, and use this as a lesson learned to check the compatility matrixes first. One thing in the Nortel world, as with any software/hardware manufacturer these days is always check the docs before commiting to anything.

You could go with the Convertec PC console application. That'll cost a lot more than a 4.0 upgrade will though.
