Trying to verify something.

When multiple ip helper-address entries are added to an router interface, how does the router process the request (i.e. dhcp). Does it unicast the request to each of the ip addresses listed in each of the ip helper lines, or does it use a round-robin methodology to handle requests. (i.e. using the first ip helper entry, second request uses 2nd ip helper entry.

Thanks in advance.

Da Ruster.

When you set up more than one helper address, the unicast/broadcast is forwarded to all addresses every time, even if they are one completely different networks.

svermill is right. In a router, there is no round-robin things. Router is NOT load balancer.
