I need help with this. I need to know what settings or what software I need to do the following.
1. I need someway to filter incoming/outgoing IP addresses on an NT workstation and/or server. I need it to run at all times and filter any IP sending requests to the subject computer, and not just filtering through IIS server or something like that.
Actually having a way to filter incoming IP's is most important priority and filtering outgoing is not as important. Any suggestions anyone has will be most helpful.

Sounds like you need a packet filtering firewall product. Several on the marcket. I use Winroute. Full inbound and/or outbound control by IP address, IP range, subnet, protocol, port number, control on both source or destination of the packet.

A personal firewall solution is usually applied direct to the machine requiring protection. (normally in a SOHO environment, to protect agains internet intrusion).

If you are looking at a more substancial implimetation then perhaps a Corporate firewall solution would be more appropriate.

Hope it helps

See if this is what you're looking for...

On an NT server, right-click on network neighborhood, go to "properties", then "Protocols", then "Properties", then at the bottom of the window, click "Advanced", check the "Enable Security" box, click "configure", and there you can filter your TCP, UDP, and IP Protocol filters.

If that wont do what you need it to - you'll have to use a firewall solution.

Good luck!
