HI
We use Weblogic us our web server. sometimes we need to deny access from the whole world but allow access to a few staff machines.
I read about connection filtering in weblogic and wonder:
1- does connection filtering causes performance degredation.
2- does using IIS as a proxy can replace above solution?
3- what other option do I have for Ip filtering?

TIA.
Goly.

1.There wont be considerable degradarion in performance on using connection filter(we have tested).

NO IIS will not help to filter or restrict ur access. It depends upon the ipfilter rule that ur trying to apply. If you list of ip address then it will be fast,if you have say 10.45.* then i will be slow.
