IP extension setup

I would like to find out how to setup a four digit IP extension on a 2000 IPS system. I know the setup is similar to a digital extension but you assign a IP len and some programming is required on the phone itself.

Any kind of step by step IP extension setup is greatly appreciated.

Are there any IP Phones currently on the system?

If not, then is your IPS equipped for IP (i.e. IPLA card)?

You need to know the virtual pim where you want the phone. Normally, it will be command 14>19000. Have a look there if you see any of the other ip phones.

The easiest way to find out where they are is try double assigning an extension number and it will come back with "SEE CMD 14 XXXXX
