IP ext ringing in hunt group??

I have a couple of remote workers on VOIP phone, everything seems to be working fine. I now need to add the IP phone to a huntgroup for covering a few hours per day I added the user to the huntgroup but when everyone at the local office is logged out or DND and the IP ext is on and enabled in the huntgroup the system just hangs up. What am I missing?
