IP Desk Phone Software Issue

I just upgraded my CM to 7.1.3 and all our G430 gateways also at each of our 11 sites. I upgraded the firmware for the 9641GS to 6.82.2 to comply with a security vulnerability. I also upgraded "I know" our very old 4621 IP phones and from 2.230 to 2.9020 and it seemed to be working fine till about 3 days later I was told that the hands free has poor quality of sound or the person hears every other word.

has anyone experienced this? I will be replacing all 4600 series phones in 2020, I only have about 40 of the 1500 phones that are the 4600 series model. all other phones are the 9640G or 9641GS models.

just looking to keep the phones operational till replacement.

Considering the 46xx phones are way past end of support you are pretty much stuck dealing with it or get new phones.
