IP Dect R4 on 2 systems connected via qsig H323 has over 1,000,000 ms jitter

IP Dect R4 on 2 IPO systems running 8.0.44 connected via qsig H323 has over 1,000,000 ms jitter. The H323 line is over the internet on a sonicwall site to site VPN. The IPBS and bootcode are the latest that were included on the 8.0.44 DVD. There is no other traffic on the VPN. Is there likely a configuration error somewhere or inherent problems with the internet?

Do you actually have speech issues at all?
If not then ignore SSA.

Yes. Dect user gets one way talk path calling across VPN although all ip routes are in place and ping is successful from either system to all addresses for opposing ip office, h323 trunk and dect lines.

Try with unchecked direct media path.

This proves that you have a routing issue!!!
So take a look at the routing.
I have seen issues with speech when there is no default gateway configured on the base stations.
