Hi Does anyone know how the Mitel handels DECT roaming in terms of the RTP stream to the RFP.
When a DECT user roams out of range from one RFP to the RFP in a different vlan or IP range, how does the system know that it needs to change the destination of the RTP signal and does it achieve this.
The question was asked in a meeting to draw up a LAN micro design document. We are installing DECT on Cisco kit and these guys want to know a little more it seems. I know they can't do it on their wireless phones and I think they might be probing but it doesn't really matter as the DECT docs say this roaming across subnets is supported.
Thanks
